Frequently Asked Questions

To ride the Luge and/or Skyride you must be in good health and be free of height conditions, motion sickness, back problems or other physical limitations. Please check our frequently asked questions below for anything you are unsure of.

Can I bring my own helmet?

Yes, you are able to bring your own helmet. Only restriction is full faced helmets will not be allowed.

What clothing do you need to wear and what type of shoes?

No restrictions but we do recommend closed toe shoes.

Are there height limits to ride the Chairlift and Luge?

Luge:

Children must be at least 110cm tall to ride the Luge alone.

Children under 110cm tall can ride the Luge in tandem, with an adult aged 20+ years at a cost of $3 per ride (Pee Wee Luge rides).

Chairlift:

There are no height restrictions for the chairlift however the above restriction apply to riding the luge.  Guests need to also be aware of and comply with Alpine Responsibility Code Clause 10  when boarding the chairlift:

“You must have sufficient physical dexterity, ability and knowledge to safely load, ride and unload lifts. If in doubt, ask the lift attendant.”

Are there weight limits for the Chairlift and Luge?

There are no weight restrictions on either the chairlift or the luge. 

Can I ride the luge if I am pregnant?

For safety reasons expectant mothers are not permitted to ride the luge.

How fast does the Luge go? Am I able to control the speed?

Our purpose built Luge carts are gravity fuelled and the rider has full control over speed and direction using a unique braking and steering system, so the speed depends on you!

What is the price to ride the Luge? Are there family packages available?

To qualify as a family you must have a minimum of 1 adult (Max of 2 adults) and 1 child. Children must be under 15 years or under.

Is it possible to make bookings for large groups or team building events?

Can I buy a gift voucher for the Luge?

You can purchase luge tickets online and gift them to friends and family. At present you can only purchase the tickets online and present the receipt as a gift. The luge rides are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and can be redeemed any time throughout the season. Full Gift Voucher capabilities are coming soon.
