About the Calgary Luge

One of the best things to do in Calgary, Canada!

Looking for things to do in Calgary? Look no further!

With more than 50 twists and turns and covering a distance of over 1800 metres (5905 feet) on a continuous downhill trajectory, the Skyline Luge Calgary is the longest in the world and is one of the best attractions in Calgary. It's certain to bring smiles to the faces of both the young and old. Sounds awesome (and it is)...but what is it exactly?

Invented in New Zealand in 1985, Skyline Luge is one of the region's most unique Calgary activities - offering a wheeled gravity ride that provides the rider with full control over their descent on a purpose built track. The unique braking and steering system control speed and direction – it’s easy to learn and is suitable for people of all ages and abilities.

Why is the Luge the best Calgary Attraction?

Most of all – it’s great fun, for everyone! There are no other Calgary activities quite like Skyline Luge. Experience the thrill of dashing down the Luge track as you navigate the twists, turns and bumps that never fail to make adults giggle like children. And the children will beam with excitement, before hopping back on the chairlift to the top so they can do it all again. Children less than 110cm tall can share a ride with an adult, so no-one misses out and the whole family gets to have some safe fun.

Over 30 million people have enjoyed the Luge worldwide and their comments have led to the Luge slogan; ‘Once is never enough’! So if you're looking for things to do in Calgary over Summer (May - October), visit the Skyline Luge Calgary and experience this great attraction for yourself!
