Skyline Luge to build new site in South Korea

Skyline Queenstown welcomed Korean delegates to town on Wednesday 6th June, to celebrate the signing of the next Luge venture in Tongyeong City, South Korea.
Skyline Chairman, Ken Mathews and the Tongyeong City Major, Mr Kim were delighted to make the agreement official after months of negotiations about the new Luge site.
This will be Skyline's 6th Luge site, making it the 4th location outside of it's home country of New Zealand.
The Tongyeong City Luge will be accessed by a quad chairlift and begin with one 1500 metre long track, with the option to build two more over time. It will be built on a 16ha site next to a popular Cableway that has already attracted 1.3 million visitors since recently being built.
Skyline Luge are now in planning stages as Major Mr Kim hopes to bring the Korean site into the contruction stage by 2013.
