Skyline Luge Tongyeong site nearing completion
Posted on Wednesday, 30 November 2016
Our team have been working tirelessly to get our Skyline Luge Tongyeong site up and running this winter 2016/17!
There has been some great progress made since our last update. Here are some of the latest photos:
Here you will see the track being poured. Once completed, the 1.5km track will have over 30 exhilarating twists and turns!
As you can see, from the top of our Luge tracks there are magnificent views over Tongyeong City and the ocean. In this photo you can also spot one of our Luge track tunnels!
This is a terminal for our Doppelmayr 5-seater detachable chairlift – also known as the Skyride. It will transport people and Luge carts to the top of the Luge track.
The Luge carts have arrived!
This building in the background will be our Photo & Retail Centre and Ticket Office. See another perspective of this building below.
One final view of the bottom terminal, Photo & Retail Centre and Ticket Office.
We will keep you posted with updates on further developments as we grow closer to the development being completed!
Skyline Luge was invented in Rotorua, New Zealand over 31 years ago and has hosted more than 35 million rides worldwide. This will be Skyline’s sixth Luge site and the fourth to open outside of New Zealand.
