Queenstown Luge Track Information
Open year round, the Skyline Luge Queenstown facility offers two tracks: both 800m in length.
Our two Luge tracks are access by a scenic chairlift which takes you high above the Gondola and Skyline building to the start zone of the Luge. The tracks wind downhill and end beside the main Skyline building where you can re-join the two-seat chairlift that takes riders and Luge carts back to the start zone to do it all again!
The Scenic Track is a leisurely ride with gentle gradient, easy bends, tunnels and dips.
The Advanced Track has a steeper gradient and is a more adventurous ride with the thrill of banked corners, tunnels, dippers and cuttings.
Both offer incredible Queenstown views and a memorable Luge adventure, making this a must do Queenstown attraction.
Where do I Luge?
The Skyline Queenstown Luge is located at the top of the Queenstown Gondola on Bob's Peak. The start zone can be accessed by the Luge chairlift or walking track. Then you descend 800 meters down the tracks to the Finish Zone, high above Queenstown.
Riders must go on the Scenic Track first, after a full safety briefing from our Luge instructors. Once you've completed your first run you can choose your track, Scenic or Advanced and do it all over again!
Both Luge tracks feature overhead bridges from where spectators can watch the action and take photographs.
